The best part about it was that my fleet included the Galactica armed with two squadrons of vipers, a cylon basestar with raiders, a star destroyer with tie fighters, a mon calamari cruiser with x-wings, the Enterprise galaxy class, the Defiant, some Romulan ships, and the Dominion ships. At one point I made myself a starbase, made a huge fleet, and went out conquering. There are ships out there from every sci fi franchise. X3 is a great space game because you can go through missions and such, or you can just go do your own thing and build an empire. Heck, I'll post the link to the newest Star Wars mod too.
Now that X3 is on GoG, I will post a link to the newest BSG mod I know of. I found some mods they recently started working on again. I posted this in the general discussion for anyone not familiar with the game, but am reposting it here by request.
